Travel made easy by Travelgrove

August 22, 2009

Even before summer came, I was already choosing in mind which European city to travel to.  I have long wanted to visit Rome, and we also have an invitation to visit Barcelona by hubby’s brother.  I spent most of my mornings checking out different web sites, looking for the best value in flights and also hotel rates for our planned vacation.  It was a tiring task hopping from one site to another, hoping to find the best deal of all.  I was then thinking, “Wouldn’t it be nice if there’s just one site I could log in to and search for all our travel needs?”

Little did I know that this was actually possible with Travelgrove.  If you haven’t heard of it yet, then it’s a dream come true for every traveler.  Travelgrove is a search engine for travelers looking for the best deals in airfares, hotel rates, car rentals, and cruise and vacation packages.  They scour the entire web for good deals and presents to users the data for comparison.  The users then choose the best value for their money, which to me is just awesome!  Yes! They do the job for you! Think about the time and effort you can save in trip planning with such a great service as this.

Searching for an inexpensive Cesky Krumlov hotel

August 12, 2008

We’re on a travel mode these days.  My sister is vacationing here in Prague and we plan to tour her in some famous sites within Czech Republic and also its neighboring countries.  As per our experience, a day of tour in some places isn’t enough.  We’ve decided that staying at least one night would give us ample time to see the important sights if not all.

I used Hotelscombined.com in searching for the cheapest Cesky Krumlov hotel where we can stay for the night.  I simply inputted the check in and check out date and the city, pressed search and hotelscombined.com did the search for me.  It thoroughly scoured all the hotels in Cesky Krumlov available in the internet. I’ve got a handful of hotels to compare and check out which is quite a good news for all of us.

If you’re on a lookout for hotels to stay for your travel or vacation, don’t forget to search at hotelscombined.com!

I wish it’s next year already

November 18, 2007

Next year I’d be able to travel around Europe without visa needed!  Yes!  Czech Republic will become a member of Schengen territories already!

I asked hubby which of the EU countries he would take me for vacation to which he replied France.  He knows Paris is one of my dream destinations. I'd like to see the Louvre, Eiffel tower, Notre Dame, etc. And he also knows I like to experience the long road trip they’ve been doing with friends, driving from one country to another.  But most probably with a little baby in tow, traveling by air is more convenient and fast. We’re booked!

October 24, 2007

Finally after looking high and low for airfare that would fit our budget, our prayers were answered.  Hubby booked us for next year's flight (I'm not yet telling what month) since all flights were full for the Christmas holidays, so we went ahead with our second option. It's really difficult to find cheap fare on peak-season especially at this time, so close to December already.  Had we looked earlier we could have probably find a reasonable fare for December.

Anyway for now we will just have to wait if hubby's application for vacation leave will be approved and at the same time save more money for the planned vacation. Weee!!! I can't wait!

Enjoying your vacation to the max!

October 10, 2007

Where do you stay when you’re in vacation?  Do you always book in a hotel?  These days travelers have many options when it comes to accommodations - hotels, pension houses, vacation houses, condominiums and bed and breakfast.

Bed and breakfast might not be that popular but if you want to experience a different kind of stay in a foreign country let’s say in France, you might want to go for a bed and breakfast Paris accommodation for personalized service. Travelers can mingle with their hosts and learn from them first hand about the Parisian way of life, get tips and recommendations from them where to go and what to do in Paris. Interacting with the locals gives you a closer look not just on the touristy sights but more importantly on the country’s culture.

Try bed and breakfast accommodation on your next trip!  It’s one way to fully enjoy your vacation abroad.

Off to Disney

September 17, 2007

A friend is planning to bring his family to Disneyland in Florida.  Everybody is excited about the planned vacation.  So right now they are looking for affordable airfares and accommodations online.  It’s timely I found this Orlando Holiday Villa by Lowery’s Vacation Homes.  This vacation agent has been active in sales and rental of property in Florida.  Although their head office is in UK, they also have a Florida office in Kissimmee located at the Central Florida which is near Disney.

The pricing is a bit interesting.  Renting a villa can cost less than $10 per person a night if the unit is directly rented.  Now how’s that for a good deal?

A home away from home

September 14, 2007

Traveling these days offers many options in accommodations.  A plethora of choices faces travelers all vying for their attention.  What would you choose? A hotel, pension house or a serviced apartment?  A weary traveler’s concern is comfort and good service when he’s away from home.  I myself would prefer an atmosphere that feels just like I’m still at home. More like a home away from home ambience for my accommodation. I think a serviced apartment offers just what I want.  Of course it’s not just any apartment but it’s luxurious as well.  It offers more space, more freedom but the same comfort you can get from hotels.  Services and facilities are of high standard too.

How to find these service apartments?  JMP Travel is a specialist in luxury serviced apartments.  Their free phone number is few dial away and you’ll be entertained by their friendly reservations team.  Or you can opt to search at their website for available apartments in your preferred location. JMP Travel also has a corporate apartment for business travelers.

For your next business trip, tell your boss you prefer to be booked in a serviced apartment and don’t forget to contact http://www.jmpluxury.com/travel/ for that. I’m definitely sure you’ll love your stay!

Chatting about Canada with my cousin

August 14, 2007

My cousin J has been residing in Canada since 2005.  One night while we were chatting I got curious about the country so I asked her what were the sights to see and things to do there especially during holidays in Canada.  Since it’s summer, she told me that most people go to the North part of Canada for camping, rent a cottage then go hiking, mountain biking or mountain trailing.  She also recommended the amusement park called Wonderland of Canada, watching baseball games at the Skydome and the Tulip Festival (which took place last May). She said that even downtown Toronto couldn’t be toured in a day because of the many places to see.  If you want to cover many places, she suggested taking the city tour bus which will go around historical places at downtown Toronto.

Whew!  I can remember how she was just typing away all the places to see there as if she has lived there for so long. Anyway, she invited me to visit Canada sometime in the future and assured me that there are many flights to Canada online that can be availed at a cheap price.  So true, air travel is getting to be more available to the public at lesser rates.  One of the travel companies that offer cheap flights, hotels and travel tips is Dialaflight, a leading UK travel agent. They do it for a good cause

August 5, 2007

If I remember it correctly our church would designate one Sunday in the month of October as Mission Sunday.  All collections were set aside to support the missionary works of the church.  Missionaries are sent out to different countries especially in remote areas where the inhabitants are ignorant of the existence of Christianity and Jesus.  These mission works involves a great deal of money especially the missionary air travel that incurs whenever they are sent out to trips.

Fortunately there is a travel agency called Golden Rule Travel manned by former missionaries who are delighted in helping out in God’s call to spread the Gospel by finding the lowest possible airfare for individuals, church groups, NGOs, humanitarian agencies and missionary organizations.  Nobody understands better the needs of mission work than these former missionaries. For them being in this job is their way of serving God.  In fact, they are available 24/7 for through their cell phone service and they have special contracts with airlines for missionaries. Truly they’ve been doing their job well from what you can read from the testimonials of their satisfied clients.

At Las Vegas

July 4, 2007

Correct me if I'm wrong but I have the impression that Las Vegas is the entertainment capital of the US.  I've heard so much about this place - the grand casinos, the luxurious hotels, nightly entertainment ranging from concerts to sports events, the spas & pools and fine dining restaurants.  Anything you'll ever want for fun and relaxation can be found in Vegas.  Why even our very own Filipino talents are making it big in Las Vegas as entertainers. So whenever you’re in the US, don’t forget to drive down to this ultimate entertainment city, buy Las Vegas event tickets and book  yourself and your family at the MGM Grand.  They have all the amenities to make your stay enjoyable!
