Korean drama: Coffee Prince

Ever heard of Coffee Prince?  It’s quite popular in the Philippines these days.  I’ve known about it from a blogger who left a comment here.  It was only then I found out, nahuli ako!

I immediately searched it at YouTube. Wala!  Nobody has a complete collection of all episodes. There’s no choice left but look it up at d-addicts.  Goody, goody!  It’s there alright.  After almost a day of downloading I was already hooked watching it.

The life of Go Eun Chan (Yoon Eun Hye) is not easy; she works many jobs to pay off debts and even gave up her feminine image. Choi Han Kyul (Gong Yoo) is the heir of a big food company, but his grandmother wants him to settle down, so she arranged many dates for him. After Eun Chan bumped into Han Kyul and was mistaken for a boy, Han Kyul decided to hire Eun Chan to be his gay lover in order to avoid the arranged dates. Desperately in need of money, Eun Chan had no choice but to accept. Han Kyul’s grandmother also made Han Kyul in charge of a filthy coffee shop in danger of being bankrupt. Eun Chan begged to work at the coffee shop, and not long after, feelings start to spark, except, how would Han Kyul accept his "homosexuality"?

Korean drama for January

I took a peek what’s happening at d-addicts for this month.  It’s Fashion 70s!  It’s a story about two girls who survived the Korean war who by some twists were separated from their parents.  It’s a story that will deal with rivalry between these two girls.

This drama is about two young girls who survive the Korean War. Jun-Hee is a pleasant girl who is very kind and loved by her wealthy parents. Kang-Hee is smart and witty but she is envious of others because of her poor upbringing. The girls are separated from their parents during the war and struggle together to make it out alive. Through a tragic event, they are separated and Kang-Hee thinks that Jun-Hee is dead. While Jun-Hee’s dad searches for his daughter, he finds Kang-Hee and adopts her to be a replacement for Jun-Hee (thinking that his real daughter is dead). Kang-Hee takes ownership of Jun-Hee’s identity even though everyone else around her knows she’s a fake. Jun-Hee and Kang-Hee grow up in different worlds and eventually destiny leads them back together. However, now the two women compete against each other in fame, friendship, and love. Will the real Jun-Hee surface and find her real father and true identity?
