Having fun with bubbles!

December 20, 2007

Last night I was a bit stressed with our internet connection.  I couldn’t access some sites much to my dismay!  Since morning till I slept (already past 12mn), our internet wasn’t working properly.  Fortunately I was still able to visit other sites. It would have been a total wreck if I couldn’t! Anyway, among these sites is The Bubblenator

Since I had a lot of time to spare, I tried playing with my photos using The Bubblenator tool which allows a person to place cartoon captions on the photos.  Yep, like those chat bubbles you see in comics.  With the Bubblenator, you can write your thoughts out with it. So there I was having fun with few photos I have.

It is so simple to use.  By going to the website of The Bubblenator, you’ll be asked to upload the url of the graphics you want to customized.  Then a bubble will come out where you can type in whatever you want to place there.  Then you simply copy and past the full code into your website or blog and that’s it.  You already have a picture with a bubble caption!

Go check it out!  I’ll publish my own graphics with bubbles in my coming posts!!!

Why I can’t wear my earrings

December 19, 2007

Ever since I bought that pair of gold earrings almost two months ago, the piercing in my ears didn’t heal yet.  I wonder why this allergic reaction is happening.   This usually happens when I wear some fashion or fancy earrings. Could it be a fake? Or my skin is getting more sensitive?  I doubt if the store would sell fake gold jewelries, their credibility is at stake.

FYI, gold makes a good investment product because its value doesn’t decrease. It’s a good way to preserve one’s wealth.  That’s why many people are collecting gold jewelries or gold coins and ingots. But that’s not the reason why I bought the gold earrings which I sadly can’t wear! Duh! Anyway, I hope my ears would get better soon coz I want to wear my earrings again.

I don’t sleep at all…

December 18, 2007

and even when you think my eyes are closed, my mind is still wandering somewhere.  All my senses are on alert mode. I've learned to master the art of keeping awake; that is, after almost 4 months of non-stop parental duty.

I don't sleep at all… do you?

18 vs. 29

This month's d-addict's featured Korean Drama Series is 18 vs. 29.  I don't download K-drama from torrentz anymore coz it eats up a lot of space in my hard disk. Instead, I watch it from YouTube.

So I am happy when I saw that somebody uploaded this series in YouTube. It saves me disk space and downloading time.

Here's the sypnosis:

The main chracter is Yu Hyechan who is 29 years old.Hyechan is married to Kang Bongman who is her old classmate in high school whom she despised and hated because of his cocky attitude. But later she fell for him after being rejected by Shi Woo her crush.

This drama takes the audience back to the 1990s. The main character of the drama, Yu Hyechan, 29, reverts mentally to an 18-year-old girl after having a car accident. As she recovers her memory and the relationship with her husband, Kang Sang-yeong, she goes through many hilarious and heart-moving moments. – KBS Global Marketing

Parking in London

December 7, 2007

I thought living in Europe is safe from robbers, but I was wrong.  My hubby was once a victim of a vehicle robbery.  His motorbike which he parks outside of their flat was stolen.  It was never recovered at all.  Well, it was only a motorbike but still. So imagine if you wake up one day and discover you car is missing.  Ahhhh… what a disaster!  That’s why renting a parking space or garage is recommended if you don’t have your own place where you can safely park your car.

In United Kingdom there is an agent named Park Let which specializes in parking spaces and garages that are available for renting.  This includes the cities of London, Leeds, Birmingham and other town and cities in this country. (more…)

Now what?

December 6, 2007

I started watching "License to Wed" last Sunday and I'm still not finished with this one till now!  With a runtime of only 91 minutes and still!.. Well I'm literally busy these past days. I'm prioritizing work and baby.  Extra time is spent resting.

Anyway, this was a movie recommended by my cousin coz she knows I'm into romantic comedy genre. It star Mandy Moore as Sadie and John Krasinski as Ben Murphy together with Robin Williams as Reverend Frank.  (more…)

That soft, fluffy white siopao

siopao
My request from the birthday girl.

I attended a birthday yesterday of a friend.  She prepared plenty of foods for her (supposed-to-be) four guests but one didn't show up.  Even if we ate so much, there were still more left. That's why we went home bringing the left-over food.

As requested, she made siopao (top photo) which really made me happy!  I was able to bring home 6 pieces! Can you beat that?  An eat-all-you-can free dinner with bring home food? Only here in Europe!

    Stressed? Go slow!!!

    December 2, 2007

The past months after delivering my baby have been tough for me and hubby.  It doesn’t help that he is always busy at work sometimes even bringing home his work at home.  Why, he was even working earlier and its Saturday!!!  We really need to take a break, that’s why I’m sooo looking forward to our planned vacation early next year.

It’s time to go slow as what Mad Gringo would say.  This concept of taking a break away from a stressful life full of work, work and work is really nice.  It reminds everyone that life is supposed to be enjoyed like watching the sun set, walking barefoot in the white beach sand, sipping a cool juice by the pool or enjoying a relaxing massage!

For your information Mad Gringo sells cool Hawaiian shirts, sarongs, t-shirts, accessories and other apparel that goes well with its Go Slow concept.  Wearing their shirts makes you feel like you’re going to a grand vacation even when you’re inside you office.   And of course, their Hawaiian shirts are definitely apt for beach vacations.  Think Hawaii…

Anyway, since our vacation is still a month or two away, I’ll put this vacation widget here to remind me that it’s going to be soon!

    Saturday Special - Dream Time

It's Saturday in the other parts of the world… but for the others, it's already Sunday!  Whatever… this meme is for Saturday. So here how this week's meme goes:

    ~Dream Time ~ Have You Ever…~

    1. Danced At A Ball?:

Back in high school we had a graduation ball, but it wasn't really the real thing.  it was more like a disco. heh!

    2. Flown A Kite?:

Yep! when i was a kid, my brother would make kites and we would fly it.  We live near the sea where the wind is great for flying kites on summers.

    3. Strolled Hand In Hand Along The Seashore?:

Awww… with whom?  Yep! with my cute niece, nephews…hubby too! :)

    4. Rode A Train For The Fun Of It?:

Not yet.  But you gave me an idea of a cheap way to have fun! I'll try that one of these days.
