He’s a HE

poodle

What a beauty eh?

I was raving to hubby how pretty this dog is when he corrected me that "she's" a "HE"! This poodle was being groomed  in front of us by his owner. Hubby took a pic of him after the beauty session.

And here he is… all ready for the show!  We left before it started so we don't know who won.

Easy starters for any party

starterstarter

We had a little get-together party with friends yesterday.  One of our friend's family is leaving tomorrow after a 4 week vacation in Praha.  Since we didn't have the chance of meeting them earlier, I cooked up a plan of throwing them a party.

Food is of course on major thing that needs to be prepared.  Whenever we were invited by my dad for a dinner, he always serve this bread with different spreads like crab meat, or mayo with bell pepper on top, etc.

The picture above is what F prepared as starters for our mini party; crab meat spread (top) and the butter with salami on top (bottom). Fast and easy way to kick-off the eating session!

Dusky afternoon

day

A Saturday scene while taking baby out for a walk. The sky was gloomy and the air was chilly.  It was only one in the afternoon then but it already looks like dusk.

The next day, we had a snowfall that lasted for couple of hours only, not enough to cover evrything white.  But ut it was a nice feeling having tiny white fleck drop on me!

Call the doctor very quick!

Here’s a little trivia for you!

Do you know that automotive direct mail service defeats other marketing strategy such as ads in TV, print or internet in influencing consumer’s decision in automobile purchase?  It is said that 48% of buyers said that direct-mail offer from a car dealer made a great impact with their decision on buying a car.

If you got a “sick” marketing strategy, call on the Market Doctors!  Their direct-mail services can help you revved up your dying business.

Bugged by dry skin

It's the time of the year once again when dry skin becomes a major problem.  Chaffed lips, dry and paper-like skin which becomes itchy are starting to bother me.  I still remember what the dermatologist told me, don't use soap as often or if ever, use only mild soap.  It relieved me of the itchy skin, thank God!  But my lips, it's another story.  Even if I place lip balm often, it still gets dry.

Here are some of the tips to prevent dry skin from American Ostheopatic College of Dermatology:

1.Avoid using harsh soaps that dry the skin. Recommended soaps are Dove, Olay and Basis. Even better than soap are skin cleansers such as Cetaphil Lotion, Oilatum-AD and Aquanil.
2. Avoid vigorous use of a washcloth in cleansing. When toweling dry, do not rub the skin. Blot or pat dry so there is still some moisture left on the skin.
3. Each day when you take your bath or shower, try to use lukewarm water. Hot water dries out the skin. Try to limit your time to fifteen minutes or less in the bath or shower. Bathing should be done no more than once a day. If you bathe too frequently you will remove the natural oils from the skin causing dryness.

There are many tips available online that you can try and see what works best for you!

Deck the house with Christmas decors, fa la la la…

Have you adorned your house with christmas decors already?  Almost a month from now it will be the biggest holiday celebration for Christians and non-Christians alike.  Everywhere you look, there will be glittering lights and colorful trimmings to fill the air with the Christmas spirit.  At least that's how it is in the Philippines.

Here in CZ, people would only put up their decorations usually on the day before Christmas. Last year, we bought a real tree for the Christmas tree few days before the event.  Now that we're living on our own, I'm not sure if I'll deck our house with trimmings coz we don't have a single decor! I'll have to buy if I want to make our flat Christmassy…

Fun in Texas = rodeo

Who doesn’t know Miley Cyrus?  This pretty teen star of the famous Disney Chanel original series Hannah Montana is raved about by many youngsters.  She is friends with other teen stars from the Disney show High Musical Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens whom my niece and nephews loved to watch.  So what’s up with her anyway?

I’ve got a cousin who’s working in Texas who was telling me about the events that are worth watching in the coming months.  And one of the most awaited events is the Houston Livestock and Rodeo which will be held on March of next year yet.  I was told that this rodeo is considered as the world’s largest where over a million guests come each year to watch this event.

So what does Miley Cyrus and the Houston Rodeo have to do with each other? As an added attraction to spectators, everyone can catch Miley Cyrus as Hannah Montana at the Houston Rodeo!  She will be joining the list of top performers who have previously performed in the show such as Bon Jovi, Toby Keith, Beyonce and Faith Hill to name a few. Since the Rodeo show will draw millions of visitors, tickets are already selling like hotcakes as early as this time!

It will be fun, fun, fun!

Why a tracking device is important?

For businesses, it allows the owner to track the flee vehicles and heavy equipment.  You’ll know if your employee is doing his job driving to his destination and not stopping over for hours of sleep by the roadside. For regular customers, it helps you track your family members especially teenage child.  If something bad happens like a car accident, you’ll know where to locate them.

At Rocky Mountain Tracking, Inc. they’ve got all products for all GPS tracking and other useful resources.  To name a few of the features of their GPS tracking device: built-in motion detector, shows all travel activity, displays location, date, time speed and direction, custom reports that shows locations driven and mileage between stops and lots more.

Smiling Pasta makes me smile :)

November 19, 2007

I'm currently watching episode 14 part 5 of Smiling Pasta. Woot! woot!  It has 17 episodes in all.  If I am not only busy with work and baby, I could have finished this movie in a short time.  Anyway, it's light and funny unlike Korean dramas that makes you laugh in the beginning but makes you cry from the middle till the end.

Watch a clip of Smiling Pasta!

Everybody’s busy shopping!

We went to a mall this weekend but what a day!  There were so many people!  I bet everybody's shopping for the coming Christmas holiday.  It was even difficult to find a vacant spot at the food court.

I wanted to stroll inside and have a look at the latest in some of my favorite shops but I changed my mind after seeing the crowd; made me dizzy!!!

Here are proofs:
