Haven of games
September 30, 2007He loves playing computer games! I caught him this week playing his favorite game in the middle of the night. I thought he was finishing work from office but nope! He really loves his computer and games. That’s my hubby.
I know there are other computer game fanatics like him out there who can’t seem to get enough playing especially for Mac users who can download Mac games from a gaming site. It’s a huge database of Mac games ranging from action, adventure, cards, casino, board, kids & learning to sports and a lot more.
It’s a treasure house of Mac games which will definitely make Mac users dance with joy.
Are you a bookworm?
September 29, 2007Rainy days are here! I don't why this first week of autumn is always raining. Anyway, it’s nice to stay in bed reading a book when it’s raining outside. I can spend hours comfortably settled and be carried away with an interesting story. With the rainy season, the downpour might seem endless but if you’re armed with plenty of books, you wouldn’t even notice the long hours that passed.
A great resource for your reading pleasure are those online book sites which offers safe and free literature snippets available through .pdf downloads. These snippets will give readers the chance to browse the book and assess the contents before buying it thus lessening the risk of owning a book which you don’t like. Their featured books from different genres will also give you an idea on what books to buy. And for an easy search, there is a search box which allows users to key in the name of book and other details and it will conveniently give you the results. You can choose from its different formats like audio, hardback or paperback.
With all these tools an online book resource can provide it can beat any bookstore around. Why physically go to the store when you can conveniently check out books online with free browsing? Who wants to go out in rainy days anyway?
Know your heart rate in a convenient way
September 28, 2007What’s the most comfortable way to monitor you heart beat? A brilliant solution of wearing a heart rate monitor in a form of apparel is the technology that NuMetrex has developed, their contribution to the growing interest in health and fitness.
This one-of-a-kind apparel has special sensors within the fabric itself that maintains contact with the body enabling it to monitor the wearer’s heart rate and transmitting the result into a small transmitter, a wristwatch or an exercise machine. You can choose from the heart-sensing sports bra, racer tank or cardio shirt.
Is there really a need to monitor the heart rate? I’d say yes! My parents’ whose health we closely monitor are being checked regularly several times every day for their heart rate. This practice is essential also especially if you’re a fitness buff, an athlete or simply a person who’s conscious with health. There are many reasons why one should monitor his heart rate but the top great reasons are: to improve health, lose weight, taking advantage of limited exercise time, safe exercise and taking charge of your health by monitoring your own heart rate.
Take a look at the video by Claudia Schultze, the inventor of this unique heart monitoring apparel who is a triathlete and marathoner and see how it works!
You too can avail of the benefits of NuMetrex heart rate monitor. Give yourself a simple heart rate training with NuMetrex.Hurry visit their website now and learn more about NuMetrex!
How are you?
September 27, 2007Whenever someone is asked this simple question, the answer is always "I'm OK." "I'm fine." "I feel good." I am one of those people. Perhaps not to cause worry to others we would rather tell them we're okay even if we're not or to evade a conversation about how we really feel. It's easy to tell others we're okay. "I'm OK." End of conversation. Period.
Lately though I've been honest about how I truly feel. I've been feeling to stressed and frustrated to the point of losing my sanity (heh). Try asking me how I am and I'd tell you "I'm NOT OK." Then it opens up a conversation and it gives me relief that I can vent out my feelings. But then if nobody cares to ask, I'm glad I have this blog which serves as my outlet.
MMORPG currency trading
September 26, 2007Have you ever wondered how it would be to live a completely different life than you are living right now? With no electricity, computers, cars, and other advanced technology that helps us and bothers us at the same time? How would it be to live in a world full of magic, fantasy and adventure? Thanks to the more and more popular massively multiplayer online roleplaying games (MMORPG), it becomes possible. I got mail!
It’s not the first time I received an email from a reader of my blog. I’ve already got a few before and my apologies to those I haven’t answered (yet). But in fairness, I’ve also answered some emails too. It all depends on my disposition upon receiving the mail. Was I busy? Was I in the mood to write?
Anyway, today’s mail has to wait for tomorrow. I am planning to post my reply in my blog so other readers can also comment and share their ideas. Hey… not this blog though but my other blog.

What did I accomplish today? Nothing at all. I’ve been unproductive but it’s all because I lack sleep and I’m tired. I spent most of the day taking care of my little baby and also the night before. I’m amazed how a little human being can drain all my energy and that of her dad too. I’m taking a little break now from her cries just to keep me sane.

Missing you in many ways
I bought this postcard many years ago when I was still in high-school, back when teenage crushes and puppy love is at it's height. Looking back to those old memories makes me wonder whatever happened to those fortunate guys who were once the target of my attraction. haha Are they still as good-looking as they were before? Are they successful in their career? Do they have a happy family? hmmm I can only wonder.
Do you need a tutor?
September 24, 2007My sister used to tutor during summer break a family friend’s daughter because she was failing in her math subjects. Her parents’ couldn’t teach her because they were busy with work. Even with such a short time spent tutoring her, she was able to learn many things. When regular school came, she was able to pass her math subject. That really made the girl and her parents happy and of course my sister too!
It is advisable to avail of tutoring services for students who are having a hard time in their subjects. With individualized academic guidance, students can improve their grades, gain self-confidence, learn quickly and attain her full academic potential. Soon it’s winter
Winter isn’t my favorite season. True I may like snow but only for looking. I don’t like the winter cold anddd… winter fashion! Ugh I hate being wrapped in multiple layers of clothing. It feels heavy and it’s not convenient. Since I’m from a tropical country, I enjoy wearing light clothing.
I took a glimpse of the fashion trends for autumn/winter from Vogue online. Here are some pictures:
Chic coat
loose knits
primary school

You won't catch me wearing any of those. They only look good for these models.

Food blah
We are fortunate to live in an area where access to stores, restaurants, bus stops and other life's conveniences are easy. But even when when we're near to these places, we still have silence in our home because we live in a high-rise building. Noise doesn't bother us at all.
One thing I'm grateful for is the convenience of buying take-out food especially when my schedule doesn't permit me to cook. If we want pasta, there is an Italian restaurant just a few buildings away from us. If we want Chinese food, there is a nearby mall which has many fastfood restaurants. That means we don't only have Chinese food to choose from, we can also buy other variety such as Lebanese or American food.
Sometimes, we just buy frozen goodies from the grocery store such as pizza. It's very simple and fast to prepare. Just a few minutes in the oven and we already have an instant food!
Such things are great blessings…

Marrying a Millionare
Ever since I was hooked with Korean drama, I’ve been downloading each month from d-addicts.com their featured Korean Drama series of the Month. With September almost coming to an end, I must admit I don’t have the interest to download the movie.
There are already two Pinoy soaps I’m following at You Tube and with my busy schedule, I doubt if I still can have time to watch another one.
Anyway, this month’s featured story is “Marrying a Millionare“. If you’re a Korean drama fanatic like me, visit http://www.d-addicts.com/
Story summary:
The latest drama series from SBS takes its inspiration from reality TV shows, and giving them that unique Korean twist. Young Hun (Ko Su - Green Rose) is a handsome young lad, but barely has a penny to his name. He works as a delivery boy for a small soup shop - hardly very glamorous. But it is for this very reason that he is approached by the producers of a new reality TV show.
Young Hun must pretend to be a millionaire, whilst a gaggle of rabid, superficial, money-hungry beauties battle it out in order to win his hand in marriage. Once his chosen bride has been selected, Young Hun must then reveal to them the truth - that he is in fact penniless, and if the girl still agrees to marry him, she will be showered with prizes.
From Young Hun's point of view it seems like a win-win situation, until he comes face to face with his first love, the gorgeous Eun Jong (Kim Hyun Ju, from Glass Shoes) amongst the hopefuls! She has come on the show for the money, too - and attracts the attentions of the show's producer, Gee Na - who really is rich!!

Relaxing weekend
September 23, 2007The weather yesterday called for a stroll outside. It was clear and sunny day, perfect for enjoying nature. We've been busy lately that we have missed taking walks for a long time now. With the autumn here, we'll be counting days till it will be bleak and cold again. Argh!! I don't like cold brrrrr winter!
The dandelions are growing happily with the grasses.
The trees enjoying their last few days of glory before their leaves will start to fall again.
It's nice to have time to relax and be with nature. I hope we can do this more often.

Marimar, aw!
I remember it all too clearly. Back in my college years, this telenovela was a hit. Every night, almost everyone is glued to their TV sets watching Marimar. People would rush home after office and school just to be on time for the show. I've even heard comments that some wives are thankful coz their husbands came home earlier than usual and they all can eat dinner together while watching the show.
The Marimar shown was from Mexico but was dubbed in Tagalog. Mexican telenovela used to be a hit back then but it was Marimar that captured the majority.
This time, GMA network has produced Marimar Pinoy version. I was of course curious how they do it. Thanks to somebody who effortlessly uploads in You Tube the show's episode, I can watch the show even if I'm not in Phils. I don't know how it is faring back home. Is it warmly welcomed as much as the Mexican one before?
Anyway Marimar is played by Marian Rivera. Marian is perfect for the role. She has this innocent appeal which Marimar posseses and of course with the beautiful face and sexy body to match.
Marketing your business
Being a business-minded person, I’ve tried out a business last year which I started operating at our home. With the creative help from my sister and my mother’s sales skills, we were able to gain a few clients. But it wasn’t enough to keep the business running. In fact for the months that passed I wasn’t able to achieve the income I was aiming for to at least break even with the business expenses. Having a business isn’t enough. I realized that one needs to market his products so many people will know about it.

At Pori
My big sis and her family (with three kids) moved to Finland a month ago. The other day we were able to chat with her and she sent us loads of pics of their place - Pori, considered as Finland's ninth largest city with a population of 76,000.
It's a clean place with the beautiful sights around.
The kids have grown to love the place already. From the pics sent by my sister, you can see that they enjoy living there. They are excited talking about their school and classmates. I'm glad that they don't get homesick and miss the friends they left. As my 11 year old nephew wrote in his multiply blog "Finland rulez!"
